Is this a good show?

If it is … is it easy to get into — or is too involving?

Is this a good show? A positive show?

I haven't watched but all I know is my MAGA relatives keep cheering on this Beth Dutton skank as some kind of frau-hero. I just see an anorexic drunk with a bad wig in the commercials. Am I missing something?

I liked the first season. I do have a weird thing for Costner. A holdover from my teenage years.

Very typical story, however: Wealthy corrupt rancher v wealthy corrupt outsiders fight for supremacy while the "real heroes" (actual ranchers, cowboys, indigenous folk, etc.) battle for scraps.

Oh, and wealthy corrupt rancher has three kids with three very different personalities. Clashes ensue.

But I found the second season boring, so I gave up.

It's Game of Thrones for MAGATs

Every character is loathsome, and somehow the locations are filmed to look drab and unlovely. I'd recommend Longmire instead just for the gorgeous rugged scenery..

Beth Dutton looks like Pamela Bellwood aka Claudia Blaisdel from “Dynasty.” But she has the most grating voice.

MAGATS at a former workplace loved Game of Thrones. I haven't seen it but it seemed unilaterally popular.

I tried to get into the first season because so many people had recommended it. It is soooooo slow. Lots of scenery shots. Lots of mumbled dialogue followed by lingering, meaningful glances. Lots of peril for peril sake. Look! The little boy has fallen in the river. Look! He’s about to get bitten by a rattlesnake. I checked out.

Can someone other than the MAGAT loon answer? I’d certainly appreciate more genuine answers like R13s to the OPs question. I read good things and am curious.

OP, it started strong. I thought seasons 1 and 2 were good, lots of character development. But it started downhill with season 3 and completely failed during season 4. Not interested at all in season 5.

^^In season 4, the characters all turned into caricatures.
