"The Incredible Shrinking Woman"

Just watched it on streaming. It holds up better than I expected, and Jane Wagner's satire of products that are slowly killing us is probably more relevant than ever. The set design (suburban pastels and pinks) and the special effects are a lot of fun, too.

I'd forgotten there was a time when Charles Grodin was in just about everything. Also forgot that Lily Tomlin's character goes on Mike Douglas and he sings "Little Things Mean a Lot" to her.

I thought it was a pretty good satire for its time, but it always bothered me the way the whole movie had kind of a "hazy" look about it, like it was filmed on the cheap in 16mm.

Streaming on what??? I love this movie! I watched it over and over on early 80s cable.

I love that she's in front of a box of Tone in that picture. Remember Tone soap from the 1980s, eldergays? It had cocoa butter and lanolin!

One of the first movies I saw in a theatre. Loved it.

r3, it's streaming on Hoopla, which is a Netflix-like service provided by a lot of US public libraries for their patrons. Very little current stuff on there, but lots of fun older movies.

This was a cable favorite of mine back in the early '80s, and I enjoyed it when I rewatched it a couple years back as well. I still get the Galaxy Glue jingle stuck in my head sometimes.

Concepcíon is the funniest character in it. I love when she's sobbing harder than anyone else at Pat's "funeral."

It's great that Tomlin's other characters Judith Beasley and Ernestine also appear in the movie.

The grocery store in the movie is now a Sprouts at 2245 Yosemite Dr. in Eagle Rock, CA
