Siren

I googled for an existing thread here on this show but didn’t find one.

Im watching it on amazon. It’s ridiculous and very teevee, but the lead is very handsome. Ok I have to admit it — one thing they did extremely well was cast the mermaid. She’s amazing and endlessly fascinating to look at. She really does look like a mythical creature.

It’s a chore putting up with its dumbness though. A shame because it could have been really engrossing — scary and also observant, like “Under the Skin” was.

The actress looks like the alien from Splice.

Interesting because that actress is French, and the girl in Siren is Belgian. Something about the facial features in that region. Large, wide set eyes. Anya Taylor Joy has it too.

Most Canadian series suck. Only Sex & Violence which features explicit nudity is watchable.

The ugliness of that woman scares me.

I don’t watch this but I might check in with it since I just found out that WWE wrestler The Miz has a small part in one episode.
