The DM is coming out both barrels at Sparkle on this one, talking about how she's exchanged her former "natural" look for a "youthful peach blush and glamourous dark eyes" (translation: she's attempting to downplay her age with the youthful blush but going for the vamp look in the eyes because at heart she's a slut), and how she has ditched the messy bun for Kate's "glossy curls" (translation: she's trying to look more royal by looking more like Kate). They are calling it a "more polished look" but the malice under their exclamations of her new royal look is palpable.

The ensemble was not just Prada but bespoke Prada so must have cost a pretty penny. The fraus on CB are twisting themselves into pretzels trying to defend the cost, the look, etc. Someone on CB finally referenced that one million figure for her clothes and accessories. But even Kaiser was hard put to defend the look, and mentioned the "new blowout".

R4 - you should see the reactions of the posters on the Telegraph, who presumably aren't a bunch of jealous white gay men. I don't think the DM are mostly old jealous gay white men, either. Ditto the commenters on the Express.

I think the backlash toward Sparkle is setting in rather early, and the primary issue, which she is being quite careless about, is going to be the very expensive haute couture wardrobe, almost all of which is by non-British design houses. She's giving outlets like the DM and the Express, which are read by the hoi polloi plenty of ammunition by refusing to take the hint. The incessant parade of outfits by luxury foreign labels reads as, "I got the money now I got the ring on my finger and there's nothing you can do about it, kiss my half-black ass."

That's the most interesting bit to me, so far, and, of course, it serves as a paradigm for her deep-seated narcissism. The DM would take her down in a heartbeat - they're just piling up their ammunition and waiting for the right moment.

R14 - The only time either Diana or Kate wore foreign designers was as a courtesy when they visited those countries. Fergie tried it a couple of times and was brought up short and stopped.

In point of fact, the white royals make it a rule to support British fashion - it's part of their job, and what they get handsomely paid for.

I just checked in there, and there are posts up about this dress and Sparkle's wardrobe expenses (and persona) that Kaiser, the editor, would never have allowed a month ago - they would have been modded and never seen the light. But the critical posts allowed up now are increasing in number, and what that means is that Kaiser, who has framed Meghan Markle as the Saviour of the British Royal Family, is aware of backlash setting in, and that it isn't wise to pretend it isn't.

Well, I think she’s pretty, but definitely looks better with a few more pounds on her and better in casual styles. Too bad she has to wear such formal clothing all the time, because I think she looks great in jeans and a tee.

She narrowed her nose surgically and she only dates and marries white men. She's on her second white husband and all her besties from Toronto society are white.
