Anyone here enjoy Margo Martindale as an actress? She's really carved out a nice career for herself. Doesn't have to do the heavy lifting in a movie, but turns in really great performances.

Anyone see her in the original off-Broadway production of Steel Magnolias?

LOVE her. She slayed on Justified.

She won an Emmy as "Mags Bennett" in the television series "Justified" (which also starred the gorgeous Timothy Olyphant).

I love how in that Million Dollar Baby clip, she asks her daughter "Is that man hitting you?" then turns around and snaps at the baby. Such a good moment.

She is awesome!

She's brilliant. Her short in Paris Je t'Aime is one of the most subtly moving performances I've ever seen.

She is excellent on "The Americans" and has received nominations for her work there in the Guest Actress in a Drama Series Emmy for the past four years in a row, winning back-to-back for the past two years.

Yes, she's known to me as the Paris Je T'aime park lady. That bit is legend.

R9, I agree. In 10 minutes of her screen time she had me laughing and crying. It's the most beautiful moment in Paris Je T'aime.

Worked with her many years ago at Actors Theater of Louisville. We were both there for a season.

Like Harriet Sansom Harris, Margo is one of those character actresses who brings much to every performance & I enjoy her very much !!

She's very likable, yes, and kind of like everybody's really smart and sassy aunt. (She actually does look like one of mine.)

She is wonderful in The Americans. I also have a soft spot for the mother of a disabled child character she played in Lorenzo's Oil.

Margo Martindale and Ann Dowd are two examples of premiere post-age 40 talented women who bring rich breadth and depth to character roles.

Love her. She's one of those actresses you don't really know what you get. Is her character going to be funny, crazy, uptight, melodramatic, serious, etc.? And she always brings the character to life with her performance.

Margo also has a lot of range. She's played low class trailer park types and she's played high society "black-tie dinner" matrons.

I love a good character actress about a hundred times more than any “movie star”.

I confuse her with Marlo Thomas. Marlo, Margo...sigh.

More deserving of a Best Supporting Actress nomination than Jennifer Hudson.

"Sophie and the Rising Sun" is a favorite of mine. She is so very good.

She was also good in "The Good Fight".

Love Margo and Ann Dowd in whatever they do, although Margo is my preference.

She was really good as Bella Abzug in "Mrs. America."
