Okay, fess up - which Lifetime movies are your guilty pleasures?

I like the Drew Peterson one

Brooke Shields played the lesbian lover of a woman dying of lupus. Not sure if it was a Lifetime flick but it certainly had the earnest and overwrought feel of one.

I was pleasantly surprised by Shields' performance. She was a very convincing lez.

^ Did the lesbian with lupus have a cane?

I believe she indeed did! But she was not cane-faced. And it was, in fact, a Lifetime movie.

Cherry Jones was the lupus lez. Both she and Shields were superb.

The Michael Peterson movie was pretty good, too. Treat Williams played him.

I'd take ANY of these lifetime features over the Hallmark channel (I know, I know) crap my husband has on 24/7

The Dean Cain movie about Scott Peterson.

^ That was a good one. Not a fan of Cain but he looked a lot like Peterson and captured his smarminess

Bodyguard Seduction. Stupid as shit but hot actor (Ross Jirgl) stripped to his boxer briefs in two scenes and tied to bed in one. Should a been the Cinemax After Dark movie it wants to be and not the racy-for-grannies film it became.

What's the one where Jeremy Sumpter is a teen porn addict?

by Anonymousreply 11April 24, 2023 1:11 PM

Is there a Lifetime Youtube channel where I can watch these? I don't have regular cable and I'm damn well not going to pay some streaming service for the guilty pleasure of watching this genre.

The Craigslist Killer with dreamy Jake McDorman.

Hulu has the Lifetime movies, I would only admit this on here, and sometimes I will watch. They're kind of like the movies of the week from back in the day and they're just fun mindless brain candy. Most of them have the same formula. Most of the actors are unknown, maybe the lead is from a soap or some cancelled primetime series. The rest of the actors are, I'm assuming, Canadian.

Devil's Food, 1996: "When obesity stalls a journalist's (Suzanne Somers) career, she sells her soul to the devil (Dabney Coleman) to be thin."
