Sharon's wardrobe in this is fabulous!

Go see the original.
It may be in black and white but it has 'intégrité'.

I love this movie. It’s terrible, but I’ve confessed here before that I prefer it to the original. This one has Sharon Stone as a schoolteacher at work in a black cocktail dress.
I also prefer the eighties Cat People remake to that original.
And I like the 90s Island of Doctor Moreau remake with Brandi better than the earlier versions.
My trilogy of shame.

R1 agreed. Those sunglasses with the red lip are fantastic. The clothes are like a 90s noir. Sarah Michelle Gellar’s look in Cruel Intentions basically copied everything Sharon wore.

Sharon’s overacting and persona sunk the movie’s dramatic potential, but she made it campy and that’s why it lives on now. She really chews the scenery and it’s fantastic.

I was Googling for pics of outfits from this and came across THIS. Which one of you queens bought it?

It pales in comparison to the original, which is a masterpiece, but the Sharon Stone/Isabelle Adjani pairing is interesting, to say the least. Uneven performance from Stone (no surprise there), but I think overall that it’s a highly entertaining reimagining. Also, Chaz Palminteri is a hot-as-fuck daddy in it.

Sharon still had her cat eyes.

Thanks for the tip. I’m going to have to watch before it goes off. I haven’t seen it since we rented it from Blockbuster when it came out on VHS back then.

It is one of those movies that I liked, but never thought of it again.

Someplace in the movie, a man complains "second-hand smoke kills."
Stone's character replies: "Not reliably."
I'm still waiting for a chance to use that in conversation.

Adjani was so hot in this film, loved it.

Siskel & Ebert I remembered really liked it and thought Stone was great (or one of them did).
But even when Stone gives an uneven or subpar performance - it’s entertaining as fuck - that’s an actual talent .
